Dr. Brown is also in the news for being awarded a Research and Innovation Seed Funding (RISF) grant from NC State for her project titled “Development of Wound Targeting Particles for Theranostic Applications.” The RISF program was created to assist NC State researchers in developing innovative interdisciplinary programs with strong potential for significant future support from government agencies, corporations, and industrial consortia or foundations.
