NC State Presents Alcoa Achievement Award to Zhen Gu

NC State University has awarded the 2017 Alcoa Foundation Engineering Research Achievement Award to Dr. Zhen Gu for his extraordinary achievements as a early-career investigator. Among these achievements is his development of novel drug delivery tools and platforms such as the smart insulin patch, liquid metal nanomedicine, immune system platelets, and a system that delivers programmable anticancer therapeutics directly to affected sites. Zhen has also been featured in a number of respected journals, including Nature Communications and Nature Biomedical Engineering, and has numerous accolades from top scientific review boards.
