BME faculty member Dr. Roger Narayan is serving as Meeting Chair for the 2016 Spring Meeting of the Materials Research Society (MRS). Roger is acting as primary spokesperson for the meeting and, along with his four Co-Chairs, has planned an exciting and innovative agenda for attendees. For the first time, the meeting will take place in Phoenix, Arizona and all related activities will happen under one roof. When asked what advantages this new format offers, Roger explained that it will provide greater opportunities for collaboration as well as ample time and space for interaction with colleagues. This year, there are 63 symposia across seven topics, including Characterization and Modeling of Materials; Energy and Environment; Electronics and Photonics; Materials Design; Nanotechnology; Soft Materials and Biomaterials; and the Frontiers of Materials Research. BME congratulates Roger on this great accomplishment and looks forward to the positive impact this meeting will have on the field!
