Some Macintosh software archives:
Info-Mac
Archive with interactive search for the Web
University of Texas Mac Archive (formerly of the program MacLayers)
Pure Mac has "all the
software you really need" in handy categories. It's easier to navigate to
what you want than a larger archive.
Another nifty archive is MacWare
on EREHWON. It includes the handy ResCompare in its list of
Programming
tools.
MacFixIt Download
Library has a small, quality selection of handy files.
The Mac Orchard reviews almost
all Internet programs for Mac (great for one-stop shopping). This site
is worth frequent visits.
Kid's Domain has a well-organized
selection of children's shareware for Macs and even PCs.
FTP site full of Unix
utilities for extracting and creating Mac style file archives.
Internet
Software For The Macintosh
PICT to ASCII art converter!
Also, there's
Info-Mac PICT-2-ASCII as well!
Here's three ways to access Oakland University, which is a mirror site of
SimTel (big). There's some Macintosh software there, but it is the largest
ftp site of IBM software (I'm not prejudiced).
Also for some PC (some Mac) software, consider
nonags,
tucows, and
Download.com.
There's PDA stuff at
SoftwareArchives.com
Here's NCSA for
Mac
Apple keeps a list of
various archives on gopher
AMUG has a large
software archive
that is fortunately mirrored by
aminet now
that shareware.com doesn't show
the AMUG files (or didn't the last time I searched).
Not 100% Mac, but a
Clip Art Collection nonetheless.
Procomm has a shareware version
for Windows.
