Biomedical Engineering is proud to announce that three of our undergraduates have been selected as “Top Presenters” at this year’s Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium at NC State University. Out of four hundred and thirty-two student presentations, only 23 were awarded this elite research status. Please join us in congratulating Kathryn Ann Ozgun for her presentation “Biomedical Engineering Quantification of Glucose Kinetics in PET-MRI Brain Scans;” Michaela Rikard and Jhon Cores for their presentation entitled “Biomedical Engineering Adult Lung Spheroid Cells Mediate Regeneration in Allogeneic Model for Rodents with Bleomycin-Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis;” and Hope Elizabeth Piercy for her presentation, “Biomedical Engineering Age Dependent Anatomical Changes in the Porcine Menisci.” These students received a certificate for their accomplishment and an invitation to a reception given by The Scientific Research Society. Way to go, Kathryn, Michaela, and Hope!
