After several years as part of the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, first as graduate student and then as Information Technology Administrator, on July 8, 2013 Sevan Abashian moved on to a new position with a local medical device company. Sevan’s IT support efforts have been instrumental in BME’s website design, videoconferencing functionality, software troubleshooting, and a wide range of behind the scenes infrastructure work vital to keep BME up and running. The Department is pleased to note Sevan’s new endeavor in the medical device field falls under the biomedical engineering umbrella. We anticipate Sevan’s training and experience in BME will support his future success.
