New BME faculty member Dr. Wesley Legant has been featured in Nature for his work with DIY microscopes! Not finding a microscope that allowed him to take the readings he needed, Wesley instead decided to develop his own using light-sheet microscopy. His work in BME will focus on both cell biology and microscope design, and he will continue to study exactly how cells move–with the help of his very own microscope.
