BME faculty Matt Fisher is co-author on a paper published in Science Translational Medicine on October 21, 2015. Work for this paper was initiated at the University of Pennsylvania when Dr. Fisher was a Postdoctoral Fellow, and continued after he joined the Joint Department of BME at UNC and NC State. The lead author on the paper, Dr. Robert Mauck, PhD, is an associate professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Bioengineering and director of Penn’s McKay Orthopaedic research Laboratory. Dr. Mauck was Dr. Fisher’s postdoctoral mentor during his time at the University of Pennsylvania.
