Tom Heil is a biomedical engineer with the Psychology Department
at the University of Florida. He works Dr. David W. Smith in the Hearing and
Smell Labs.
Our current research projects include:
- Improving Cochlear Implant Function
- Precisely Imaging In Vivo Implants
- Studies of the Olfactory System
Tom's also working on:

An improved liquid-dilution olfactometer

Improved and expanded olfactometer control software

Enhanced software for the DPOAE (distortion product otoacoustic emmissions) system
